Privacy Policy — ShieldPress Terminal

Local-first by design

ShieldPress Terminal does not create user accounts and does not operate a cloud backend for your servers, credentials, or terminal sessions.

What we do not store

We do not collect, upload, sync, or store your SSH passwords, private keys, server lists, terminal output, SFTP files, or backup contents on any third-party server for sync or analytics.

What stays on your device

• Server profiles are saved in a local SQLite database on your phone or tablet.
• Credentials are saved only in the device SecureStore / Keychain.
• Optional encrypted backups — created manually, or automatically on a schedule you choose (Lifetime Premium) — stay on your device and are shared only when you explicitly export or share them. An automatic backup’s password is stored only in the device SecureStore / Keychain, the same as your SSH credentials — never in the app’s database or in the backup file’s own metadata.
• Optional session recordings (Lifetime Premium) save a terminal window’s output to a local file for playback, and are shared only when you explicitly share them.

Network traffic you initiate

• SSH / SFTP — traffic goes only to hosts you configure.
• Gift / promo codes — if you redeem a signed promotional code, the app may contact a one-time redeem service to mark that code as used (code identifier only). SSH passwords and private keys are never sent to that service.
• Outbound links — website, GitHub, email, or policy pages you open yourself.

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the app.

Biometrics

Optional Face ID / fingerprint may protect app unlock, SSH connect, or backup export. Biometric data is handled by the operating system; we do not receive fingerprint or Face ID templates.

Clipboard

The terminal may read from or write to the system clipboard when you use paste/copy. Clipboard contents stay on your device unless you paste them into a remote session yourself.

Purchases

Lifetime Premium purchases are intended to be processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive your payment card details. See Refunds.

Your responsibility for information security

You are responsible for securing your device, credentials, backups, and any data you transmit to remote servers. The developer is not responsible for loss, theft, or disclosure of information under your control. See Security and Disclaimer.
